The
Activities

Crystal River is best known as one of the few places in the world that vacationers may swim alongside the manatees in person during their winter refuge at Hunter Springs Park and Kings Bay. Hunter Springs Park features a sandy beach for swimmers, a kayak launch, a picnic area, plus a boardwalk for viewing manatees. Kings Bay also has a kayak launch, fishing pier, and three waterfront restaurants serving seafood, often fresh off the boat from the two waterfront fishing operations. Within a few blocks of these two iconic manatee hangouts are several incredible restaurants, cafes, and unique shopping venues on North Citrus Avenue. One of Professor Rousseau’s favorite places to shop and dine is Amy’s.

There are so many things to do in Crystal River! Swim with manatees in the morning, see some mermaids in the afternoon, then watch the sunset on the beach! Kayak, rent a boat, or go scalloping. Click below for a few of our favorites!
